Musician Jim Guthrie asked a number of animators and filmmakers to create interpretive music videos for his soundtrack to Indie Game: The Movie. Here’s mine, based on my Machine Gum webcomic.
All the videos can be seen at Proof of Something: The IGTM Video Project. They run the gamut from stop motion to found footage. My favourite might be Nicolas Ménard’s video for the track Lobby Music:
I don’t know who’s singing this version of the Tex Williams classic Smoke! Smoke! Smoke!, but the animation is from Paris-based Dutch artist Gino Bud Hoiting.

Punks Jump Up feat Dave 1/Chromeo - Mr Overtime (by ChezEddy, directed by Maxime Bruneel)
I’ve noticed this video on a few blogs, and I finally watched it this morning. Why did I wait? It’s amazing! Bobby Solomon has a good assessment - go hand-drawn! Analog 4 lyfe!
This is wonderful. Pittsburg animator Scott Benson created this animated music video about evolution and technological progress for the electronic band Rendezvous. As always, view in full-screen HD.

A super fun gaming-inspired music video by Mike Scott.
Be sure not to miss Mike’s making-of video in which he details the process of creating the video from start to finish. (A second making-of video of extras exists, too)

David Crowder Band - SMS [Shine] (via DavidCrowderBandVEVO)
I can only imagine how painstaking and involved this stop-motion-by-Lite-Brite music video was to create. According to the video’s description it was created, directed, and photographed by the band.
