luclatulippe: Giant Checkers in Stanley Park, seen on the cover of Maclean’s, August 1, 1953, by Franklin (Archie) Arbuckle (bio). In the 1940s and ’50s, he produced more than 100 covers for Maclean’s (source:Canada through the eyes of Arbuckle) I’ve walked by this giant checkerboard in Stanley Park many a time, walking my dog. No only plays here anymore, but I can totally imagine a revival. Anyone interested? GIANT CHECKERS YOU GUYS!
