Sam Hiti’s stuff is always so uncompromising and awesome and now he’s got a kids’ book out - Waga’s Big Scare (Lerner Books). I’ve read the book - and it’s creepy and funny and it’s full of Hiti’s big bold brushstrokes and nightmarish monsters; I wish more kids’ books were like this.
