Having grown up in Evanston, Ryan Kapp’s print of a typical nighttime in next-door Skokie, IL, takes me back to drives to O’Hare, trips out to Old Orchard mall, and visits to my friends’ houses in high school. We used to count these single-story homes like Sesame Street’s Count: “One Skokie bungalo! AH-ah-ah-ahhhh! Two! TWO Skokie bungaloes! AH-ah-ah-ahhhh!” [thunder and lightning!]
It turns out, Ryan has a bunch more gorgeous prints and paintings in his portfolio as well.
